Meet Daniel Patterson

Mapwright Consulting is a North Carolina-based political consulting firm built to help progressive campaigns win with clarity, structure, and discipline. The firm is led by Daniel Patterson, a campaign strategist whose experience spans local, legislative, and statewide organizing efforts, all anchored in the belief that sharp strategy wins races.

Daniel managed the only successful Democratic campaign in a deep-red county that voted for Donald Trump by 24 points. That win flipped a Republican-held county commission seat and broke through where many thought it couldn’t be done. From managing tight budgets to targeting hard-to-reach voters, his work showed how strong organization and a well-run ground game can overcome long odds.

He also served two terms as President of the North Carolina Association of Teen Democrats, the official teenage auxiliary of the state Democratic Party. Over the course of two election cycles, he built and mobilized one of the largest networks of young Democratic organizers in the state. That statewide experience has shaped a unique approach to field strategy.

In addition to campaign management and field, Daniel has served as Director of Finance for multiple campaigns, overseeing fundraising strategy and budgeting.
